the church of Santa Barbara in Llanera in Spain was originally designed in 1912. But “church of Santa Barbara” might not be as cool of a name as the building’s new identity, now known as Kaos Temple.
The church had been abandoned for years before a group called the Church Brigade teamed up with Red Bull and raised enough money to give the 100 year old building new life. Inside its walls they built a half pipe and turned Kaos Temple into the most unique skatepark in the world. To top it all off they commissioned artist Okuda San Miguel to paint the walls and vaulted ceilings, giving it a stained glass look with bright colors you’d only find inside a masterpiece cathedral. Okuda calls the final product his person Sistine Chapel.
