While the autumn swells gently remind us of the power of the ocean, we are already looking forward to the winter season and big surfing sessions with this video that looks back at three highlights from the previous winter in Nazaré. The Portuguese wholesale spot was the scene of extraordinary exploits and wipe-outs that Andrew Cotton, Lucas Chianca and Hugo Vau recount. The first named obviously returns on his incredible gliding flight (which will have cost him a few vertebrae) and on his willingness to come back to the charge this winter. The Brazilian Chianca (winner of the BWT stage in Nazaré) explains his quest for the perfect line to tube on this crazy peak while Hugo Vau describes this huge wave surfed in the sunset backlight. This is enough to raise the tension as all these surfers are already watching the cards in case the Atlantic gets angry. Video by Alex Laurel
