Some very experienced surfers can ride a closeout before breaks but generally, closeouts are hard to ride since the whole wave breaks at once and if you’re attempting to ride it you’ll usually end up heading back toward shore.</span></div>

It was on the spot of Duranbah, one of the most famous in New South Wales, that the scene took place on February 10. </span><br />

<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Nicholas Smith was enjoying the day's waves when he found himself surrounded by about ten dolphins. Nicholas realized they were chasing a school of fish, and decided to take the opportunity with his hands.</span><br />

<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">"I put my hand in the water and caught this tuna by the tail with my bare hands. He must have weighed about eight kilos," he told the Gold Coast Bulletin. The dolphins then tried to recover their prey, leaving other surfers to believe that Smith was being attacked by sharks. But the surfer held on, and managed to keep the dolphins away as he took one last wave to get back to shore.</span><br />

For some tropical sunshine and some excellent surfing conditions, Sayulita has
to be up there with the best. There’s something for all abilities here, whether
you’re a novice on the board or a real pro, and the town itself is pretty

<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">It's THE wave that makes you dream. For a very long time prohibited from access because it is located in a military & protected area, it is now accessible thanks to the Vagabond Dakhla Lassarga Ocean project (Cf. article 1).</span><br />

<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Location: At the extreme south of the Dakhla peninsula </span><br />

If the swell is too northerly generally it's flat. The wave holds the size but as on many pointbreaks, attention more is bigger the more there is current!</span><br />

<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Tide: All tides, quality of the wave which depends on the evolution of the sandbanks, the size of the waves. It is a constantly changing spot like any wave that unfolds on a sandy bottom.</span><br />

<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Wind: The wind from the North is offshore, the wind from the East is sideshore, the wave is then generally very "chopy".</span><br />

<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Frequency: Having waves of surfer's size or larger requires a swell with period and as far west as possible, which does not correspond to the prevailing swells. For example, during our two weeks on site, if we surfed the wave every day, it exceeded shoulder height by only 3 or 4 days.</span><br />
