Tom Carroll’s addiction to crystal meth is no secret. The two-time world champion opened up on Australia’s 60 Minutesseveral years ago saying, “It was killing me from the inside out. I was a desperate addict.” Tom’s story not only taught us of the relentless, indiscriminate power of addiction, but it also taught us that recovery is achievable—you just have to ask for help.
Today, Tom is nearly ten years clean and absolutely thriving. He maintains an active, healthy lifestyle and makes sure to keep family and friends close. Tom credits his friends and brother Nick for overcoming his addiction.
Now, Tom wants to give back by partnering up withMovember, which is a global charity that raises money for a number of causes, including programs focusing on prostate cancer, testicular cancer, poor mental health, and physical inactivity.
