This is one of those magical moments where things seem to just click. The stars align. The cards are in our favor. Everything’s coming up Milhouse! That’s what happened when Norwegian photographer Harald Albrigsten captured a family of whales playing underneath a glowing aurora borealis.
The breathtaking footage comes to us via Global News. Albrigsten, a photographer for NRK, was out testing a Sony A7 camera in super dark conditions off the coast of Norway’s Kvaløya (Whale Island) when the incredible moment went down. The pod of whales frolic and surface while the neon green Northern Lights dance above.
Both whales and Northern Lights are common on the remote and beautiful Kvaløya island. But to get them together, that’s something special.
