Way back in December of 2014, something great happened. The Pipe Masters was called off because conditions were too wild for the event. As the day continued, the volume kept getting cranked up. It became something surreal: some of the wildest and biggest Pipe in recent memory. For those brave enough to paddle out, the event being called off was actually a blessing. John John Florence, Jamie O’Brien, and a whole bunch of other maniacs are probably still talking about this day nearly five years later.
