Kyle Mulinder will long remember this kayak trip off Kaikoura on the South Island of New Zealand. His group of friends found themselves in the middle of a fight between an octopus and a sea lion. In an attempt to kill the animal, the sea lion slapped the kayaker with the octopus. Taiyo Masuda, one of the group members, filmed the scene with his on-board camera. For more articles, click here!
