Cardboard surfboards that you can assemble yourself: this is Mike Sheldrake's ingenious idea and marketed by Westkust, a Dutch company. You can order your kit and receive your cardboard board, or you can make it yourself, using files to download for free, provided you have a laser cutter.
Today, many different materials are used to make surfboards. From balsa to cork, almost infinite possibilities seem to open up to the world of shape. With Westkust's amazing formula, the big advantage is that you can make your board in your living room. You will not need foam or very complicated tools to shaper. Once this "cardboard puzzle" is finished, just the icing will remain.
Nine different models of boards are offered by the company, from retro fishtail 5'5" to longboard 10'8".
