Andy Johnston being chased out of the water by a 3-meter great white
shark at West Beach near Esperance in Western Australia. Ignoring the warnings from several people on the beach, Johnston decided to stay in the water and enjoy the merits of an empty lineup.
What the surfer did was watched the shark, kept a eye on it at all times
and didn't panic. The second he could he exited the water. TBH thats
the correct thing to do. He was never going to out paddle the shark and
if he panicked and thrashed to shore id say the result would have been
entirely different. Its the media thats thrashing about causing havoc
and fear mongering..
