Bruce Irons is one of surfing’s favorite sons. His talent is undeniable. Bruce is far from a perfect person–just as none of us are–but, as with his brother his struggles have always been of interest to the surfing world. It must be a hard world to live in; the constant scrutiny from a public that wants to be adoring and hopes for the best. Public failure is worse than personal failure. But in the last few years, Bruce has seemingly begun a journey of self-improvement. His surfing is as good as its ever been, and his seems to have improved. Here’s a look back at Bruce’s surfing.
