An Anonymous Street Artist Just Gave Kelly Slater a Permanent Barrel

If  you haven’t heard of BERT, it’s about time you became acquainted. “I’m an (anonymous) surf street artist that uses the World Championship Tour and other surf related trends as inspiration for my visual surf culture commentary,” he explained.

BERT has made installations all over the place, all of them depicting some pivotal moment in the world of surf. His most recent is called “The Urban Curtain” in honor of Kelly Slater’s win in Tahiti and the Kelly Slater Wave Co.
