Taking the easy way out/in can sometimes come back to bite us in the ass. Getting
caught cheating on a test, stealing, telling a lie, and, in this guy’s
case, exiting the water in a difficult spot to avoid walking back up the
beach sound like great ideas in the beginning, but are soon decisions
we immediately regret. Experienced surfer or not – cold water and strong
currents can make even the most fit of surfers get into shitty
predicaments like this. In the end the guy walks away raddled but alive.
Good on surfer Batman for helping the dude out of the water. It could
have been a lot worse had he not been there
