Oh to live the life of a playful dolphin, gliding through waves and leaping from the water without a care in the world.

This video – shot appropriately in Dolphin Cove at Observatory Beach just off Esperance in Western Australia – was filmed by Dave Riggs via a DJI Phantom 2 with GoPro with a stabilising gimbal.
“I’ve never seen them that intense and that playful, either – it was just extraordinary,” Riggs said.
Watching huge pods of bottlenose dolphins cruise through the shoreline and surf the crystal clear waves shows humanity that life would be pretty good if we were a little more like dolphins.

Or, as the great Douglas Adams put it:
“… on the planet Earth, man had always assumed that he was more intelligent than dolphins because he had achieved so much—the wheel, New York, wars and so on—whilst all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in the water having a good time. But conversely, the dolphins had always believed that they were far more intelligent than man—for precisely the same reasons.
