The UK Pro Surf Tour 2016 will feature a stop in Surf Snowdonia, the world's first public artificial surf pool.

The best British surfers will have the opportunity to test and compete at the man-made wave lagoon installed at Dolgarrog, in the north of Wales.
The first-ever surf competition held at Surf Snowdonia was the Red Bull Unleashed 2015. The event was won by Albee Layer and attracted more than 2,000 spectators.
Surf Snowdonia welcomes the UK Pro Surf Tour stage on the 24th October 2016. The competition will feature male, female, and junior surfers. Entry will be free of charge.
"The Surf Snowdonia Pro Surf Challenge will be an all-day event which will take place on the first Monday of the UK half term school holiday. We reckon it will draw a large family crowd, and it’s set to be a day of friendly but hugely exciting and intense competition," the organizers state.
Surf Snowdonia opened its doors on the August 1st, 2015. However, a few technical problems forced it to close twice. The 300-meter surf park reopened in March 2016 after a one million pound makeover.
The UK Pro Surf Tour 2016 runs from April to November.
