Every wondered what it would be like to surf Antarctica? Just ask Ramón Navarro and Dan Malloy of Red Bull‘s surf team. Departing from Puntas Arenas in a ship that might be mistaken for a Soviet era icebreaker, the crew navigates the treacherous waters of the Drake Passage on their way to King George Island. Equipped with little more than a few jet skis, their boards, and some Patagonia wetsuits thick enough to stop a bullet, our two heroines manage to glide across the icy face of death, smiling all the while.
