January has been good to Seal Beach. With El Nino turning the Pacific into a churning maelstrom, the normally reasonably placid stretch of water turned into a whole different beast. With it came people like Brett Simpson, Kolohe Andino, and Austin Keen, just to name a few. And with them, of course, came a whole lot of one of two things: great success or crushing failure.
