Everybody’s warming up for the 2015 Pe’ahi Challenge and Shane Dorian’s just over here like…
Leave it to good ole Shane Dorian to pull something off by the skin of his teeth and leave everybody’s jaws (no pun intended) on the floor. And since the best drop of the day happened in the pre contest warm up, Shane didn’t even get the high score he’d deserve for taking off behind the peak, getting stood straight up, air dropping and sliding sideways down half the face of an absolute monster. There are at least four moments within the first two seconds of this ride that we were all convinced this could end terribly, then Dorian straightens it all out and sets himself up for a solid bottom turn.
Video of the ridiculous drop can be seen in WSL’s Twitter link above. Believe me, it’s worth checking out. XXL entry anybody?
