You could say I get a great sense of satisfaction seeing other surfers being reduced to puny little rag dolls by the omnipotent power of the ocean. Not in a cruel, sadistic sort of way, but out of astonishment and disbelief that a human can withstand one of nature’s most powerful phenomenons. They’re the modern-day superheroes, if you will. However, what this compilation fails to show are the bruised and battered bodies that result from these horrific wipeouts. It’s hard to chose which was the best (or worst) wipeout in the video, but the wipeout at the 2:02 marker sent chills up my spine.
