When mutant waves in SoCal are mentioned, more often than not the Wedge in Newport Beach is the first to come to mind.There is, however, one mutant wave in Seal Beach that comes alive less frequently and boasts barrels that rival its wedgey counterpart to the south. There’s one big problem, though: backwash. And tons of it. Consequently, surfers are either in for the ride of their lives or they’re getting tossed like a rag doll onto dry sand. It’s dangerous for them, but pure entertainment for us. Here’s six straight minutes of people getting absolutely destroyed.
