Early this month, Portugal’s most famous wave lit up. Nazaré turned up the volume, and as usual, the Mad German, Sebastian Steudtner, made his presence known. After getting whipped into an absolute bomb, Steudtner embarked on what is probably the longest drop in ever, waited for the wave to get steeper, and banged off a quick turn at the top of an absolute beast before kicking out of a very big, very long wave.
