Here at WeareSurfers we’ve shown you some pretty wild videos of curious great whites scoping out their human adversaries. But perhaps none of them appear quite as inquisitive as this beefy fella, as this particular shark hangs around for over five minutes, circling and bumping the fishermen’s dinky little kayaks. Think this got their blood pumping? Most definitely.
The encounter took place just a few days ago off the coast of Hartenbos, a small town in the Western Cape province of South Africa, where shark sightings like this aren’t entirely uncommon. But what’s so unique about this encounter is how persistent the shark is, not to mention the clear footage truly shows just how incredibly fascinating these creatures are.
