THE Wave Bristol will now be even better than originally planned with updated technology which will see even more waves created up to every ten seconds - but it will mean another delay for the project.
After many months of research, the in-land surfing lake has now signed a deal to use the latest technology when the project is eventually built on the outskirts of Bristol.
It will become the first company in the world to use Wave Loch's SurfPool technology, which can generate artificial waves every ten seconds.
Construction on the facility, on greenbelt land outside Easter Compton in Almondsbury, will begin later this year, with an opening schedule in 2016.
