Inspired by the skateboarding and snowboarding scene, many surfers have been focusing on pulling new and nearly impossible surf moves and tricks. From old to new school and progressive surfing, the most incredible maneuvers are being cooked in the ocean's laboratory.

Surfers are innovators by excellence. In the last 15 years, many wave riders have pulled and landed impossible aerial moves and flips.

Josh Kerr is one of the surfing magicians. He could spend his life inventing and naming surf moves. Have you ever seen his "Kerrupt Flip" or "Crazy Spin"? Timmy Curran is an aerial wizard. After many tries, he finally pulls it in great style. It's the "Hail Mary". Prepare to be left speechless.

Troy Brooks is another surf plane. He flies really high, even when the waves area small. Watch his "Superman Air" and the cheering crowd. Jordy Smith knows what he is doing while riding waves. It's easier to name a high-flying rotating-flip into a reverse 360, simply as "Rodeo Flip". Watch him imitating the bodyboarder's ARS.

While in Japan, the local food inspiration gave Julian Wilson some ideas. The result is the invention of the tasty "Sushi Roll". Everybody knows what Dane Reynolds is capable of and this "Backside 180 Shove-it" says everything.

Zoltan Torkos pulled the first kick flip in the history of surfing. His move is quite odd, but it's not easy. Try it. The "Flynnstone Flip" is registered trademark of Flynn Novak.

Last, but not least, meet a man of the 90's. Aaron 'Gorkin' Cormican got famous for his "Gorkin Flip" and is still considered one of the most clever surf move inventors.
