There was a lot of hype around this swell, and for good reason. With an
8ft@23second swell pushing faces above 30ft, the swell had kicked off
the Quiksilver Ceremonial in Chile – the first swell in four years to do
so – before continuing north to Mexico where the carnage unleashed.
