Maz Quinn, who in 2001
became New Zealand’s first ever surfer to qualify for the WCT, has
trodden a fair few tracks in his time. And yet here he is in his
homeland scoring some of the best, least crowded waves of his life, as
he treks from coast to coast along what is apparently the “beaten
track.” We’d say it’s still looking grassy and wanting wear. Bobby
Hansen, Damon Gunness and Joe Palmer — and not too many others — join
him for the ride. Damon Meade directs, films and edits.
