Carissa Moore won the Rip Curl Women's Pro Bells Beach 2015. The Hawaiian defeated Stephanie Gilmore in a tight final, and she is the first female surfer to win three consecutive titles in the Australian break.
In their 21st matchup in pro surfing, Moore and Gilmore gave all they had. Stephanie opened with a sharp 8.77-point ride for a series of powerful turns, but Carissa answered with just two waves: an 8.00 and a 6.00."It's such an honor; I love coming down here, and it's such a magical place. It's just been such a beautiful experience, and I feel super blessed. It's challenging not only to regroup after a win, but you're also competing against the best in the world, so you really have to be in tip-top shape," revealed Carissa Moore.
"I'm just stoked I got to continue my momentum here. It's a long year; there have only been two contests so far and I know that all of the girls are fired up, and they want it really bad. Everyone is going to be surfing their best. I'm just living in the moment."
Carissa Moore sits comfortably on top of the rankings. After a triumph in the Gold Coast, the Hawaiian conquers Bells Beach and travels to Margaret River with high confidence levels and her eyes on the 2015 World Surf League title.
