The “extreme waterman” was one of only two people in the world to surf waves created by melting glaciers of Alaska in the summer of 2007. It holds, since 2011, the world record for the largest wave ever surfed, that the US “took “on North Beach in Nazareth.

North Beach
Known for its large, perfect and amazing waves, the North Beach is under the influence of the phenomenon “Cannon Nazareth.”
This is a rare geomorphological accident, the largest in Europe and one of the world’s largest, consisting of a failure in the continental shelf with about 170 miles long and three miles deep.
The “Cannon Nazareth” channels the swell of the Atlantic Ocean to North Beach, virtually unimpeded, providing creating waves with a size out of the ordinary compared to the rest of the Portuguese coast. A true playground for lovers of waves sports.
