Denis Andre Dasoul from Belgium died after being struck by lightning while surfing Batu Bolong Beach, Canggu
The incident happened on 2.15 on Sunday afternoon. Gede Sugeng Pitnawa said he was watching a surf lesson in front of the Batu Bolong temple, when lightning struck Denis and his instructor.
Tourists and locals pulled them to of the water and took them to Canggu Medika by ambulance.
“The chest of the victim turned blue and he possibly died on the way to the hospital. His instructor’s left thigh also turned blue,” the witness told balipost.com
