Rasta surfs better than nearly everyone on the planet. It’s not just his shortboarding (which is admittedly incredible), but it’s his ability to surf on just about anything that floats… or nothing at all.
Gathering is a short film by Nathan Oldfield. If you don’t know his name, you certainly know some of his films: Poem, Seaworthy and The Heart & The Sea, to name a few. The full film looks at Rastovich and his life in New South Wales, his thoughts on “the tension between the industrial and the natural in the surfing world,” and celebrates surfing in general.
